Renee Olstead's favorite vegan recipe!

Deciding to become a vegan — someone who doesn't eat any food that comes from animals, including eggs, seafood, dairy, and poultry — is a huge decision and not for everyone, but if done correctly can be a very healthy way to live.The Secret Life Of The American Teenager star Renee Olstead shared with Seventeen about her decision to go all-out vegan: "As an animal lover and long-time vegetarian, I decided to make the shift to vegan last year," she told us. "I was a little hesitant before I gave it a try because I thought making vegan meals would be a huge hassle, but I actually discovered that being vegan is easier than I thought!" Renee's Favorite Garlic Green Beans
1 lb. of green beans
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup of Tamari Soy Sauce
1. Prep the green beans by rinsing them under the sink and cutting the ends off.
2. Boil a large pot of water and add the green beans. Let them cook for about 5 minutes and strain.
3. Put a large pan on the stove at medium heat and add the olive oil and garlic.
4. Put your garlic green beans on a serving dish. Use a ladel to add some of the sauce from the pan to your dish. Squeeze 1/2 lemon on your dish and serve!
